Seth Ness, a founder of this group, ran a very popular website, tessellations.org.
Seth had taken over the site after the passing of Dr. David Annal
In conversations with tessellator Bruce Bilney, Seth had indicated to Bruce he'd like Kevin Lee to take over the website in the event of his passing.
Kevin is a worthy successor. Seth had written about Lee in this blog entry: m-c-escher-style.deviantart.co…
Bruce and Kevin had some trouble explaining the circumstances to the host of tessellations.org but finally persuaded the folks at GreenGeeks to issue Kevin the user name and password.
So tessellations.org remains in good hands. Hopefully it has many good years ahead.
Seth's status remains unknown.

Reproducing Escher's Cube with Magic Ribbons
Hop recently asked me to help him out as an admin of the M.C. Escher Style group. I agreed, so from now on I will do my best to help maintain the group's quality and ensure it remains as interesting as it is today. The remainder of this article will serve as a short intro about me.
I enjoy pretty much the whole range of M.C. Escher's art, but his 3D impossible scenes have inspired me the most, as should be apparent from the various 3D renders of impossible objects that I have created. Typically these are scenes of my own design, but recently I reproduced Escher's "Cube With Magic Ribbons" in 3D.
In creating this image, I did not resort to p
Update on Seth Bareiss
I posted an inquiry on a tilings mailing list and discovered geometers and tessellation artists throughout the planet have been looking for Seth (sethness (https://www.deviantart.com/sethness) ). Bruce Bilney, a tessellation artist from Australia, has invested a great deal of time and energy looking for Seth Bareiss.
Seth suffered heart failure awhile back. The last anyone has heard of him was when he checked out of an Oahu hospital October 5, 2014.
Bruce Bilney has managed to contact Seth's brother Alexander Bareiss. The search for Seth is ongoing. We all fear the worst but there is still hope Seth is alive.
Seth has been an energetic administrator for M-C-Escher-Style.
Sethness?
Sethness and I co-founded M-C-Escher-Style-- We formed our friendship years ago thanks to our common interest in tessellations. I have not heard from him in over three months (as of this writing).
I am hoping some other members of this group know how he is doing -- I am worried about him.

A great Escher gallery on Facebook
I've had the pleasure of friending Xavier Cervera on Facebook. He contributes to a marvelous venue for displaying Escher's images as well as Escher influenced art: https://www.facebook.com/M.C.EscherPage
I had thought our Deviantart group had the largest body of Escher influenced art. But the Escher Facebook page has an impressive body of work: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150772590943200.464189.14536948199 as well as https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150857126253200.473990.14536948199
Well worth checking out. A tip of the hat to Xavier.

Good to hear that the tessellation site is again in good hands. It would be a shame for such an initiative to fizzle out. It's still upsetting that nobody knows for sure what happened to Seth, but I assume and fear you are correct, Hop.
